Loction: Bangalore (Hybrid – 2 Days in a Week Work From Office)

Shift Time: General (9 AM to 6 PM)

The candidate should have prior experience in writing user manuals and other forms of documentation that support product usage and understanding. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, the candidate should be responsible, reliable, and able to take ownership of tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality content delivery.

We are looking for a professional writer who will be responsible for designing and developing a wide range of marketing materials and training manuals tailored to various tools and methodologies used within the organization. This role will involve regular interaction with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather accurate and detailed information about tools, systems, and processes. The writer will then convert that information into well-structured, engaging, and accessible content. All deliverables must align with the organization’s brand standards, ensuring consistency in tone, format, and messaging across all materials.

Key Responsibilities: Technical Writer

  • Plan and Develop Documentation:
    Design and develop clear, concise, and engaging marketing and training documentation by thoroughly reviewing and understanding internal tools, platforms, and business processes.
  • Brand Alignment:
    Adhere to the organization’s brand guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment across all marketing and training materials, both visually and contextually.
  • Multi-Project Management:
    Handle multiple documentation projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong time management skills and a comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Project Timeliness:
    Manage workloads efficiently to deliver high-quality materials within defined project timelines, without compromising on detail or accuracy.
  • FAQ Compilation and Analysis:
    Identify and compile frequently asked questions (FAQs) during content development to address common user concerns and improve usability.
  • Task and Content Analysis:
    Conduct task analysis and content evaluation to ensure documentation meets user expectations and supports effective learning and adoption.
  • Content Structuring & Visual Design:
    Develop and maintain logical document structures, improve readability, and enhance visual design using diagrams, formatting, and layout best practices.
  • Effective Communication:
    Exhibit fluent written and verbal communication skills, maintaining a high standard of English to ensure clarity, tone, and professionalism across all materials.
  • User-Centric Documentation:
    Understand and analyze end-user requirements, tailoring content to meet their needs and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Collaboration with SMEs:
    Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define content scope, gather technical insights, develop accurate content, and participate in reviews and approvals of final deliverables.
  • Attention to Detail and Analytical Thinking:
    Apply a high level of attention to detail, ensuring content accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Demonstrate analytical thinking to solve content-related challenges and improve the quality of output.

Requirements: Technical Writer

  • Educational Background:
    A Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline (such as Communications, Information Technology, Education, or Business), or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and practical experience in technical writing, instructional design, or related fields.
  • Professional Experience:
    A minimum of 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering marketing collateral and training materials, including user guides, manuals, presentations, and e-learning content.
  • Storyboarding and Design Proficiency:
    Strong skills in storyboarding, content structuring, and visual design, with the ability to create engaging, clear, and well-organized documentation and multimedia content.
  • Process Understanding:
    Demonstrated ability to comprehend and document software-driven business processes, transforming technical or functional inputs into user-friendly outputs.
  • Time Management:
    Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision.
  • Remote Collaboration:
    Experience working independently and remotely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and distributed teams across different geographies and time zones.
  • Communication Skills:
    Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for grammar, clarity, and tone appropriate for diverse audiences.
  • Global Collaboration Flexibility:
    Willingness and ability to accommodate global team requirements, including potential flexibility in working hours to align with international time zones.
  • Instructional Design Knowledge (Preferred):
    Familiarity with instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and tools or technologies used in digital learning content development (such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or SCORM-compliant platforms) is a strong plus.
